Super Bowl Thoughts

So that was a great game.  We were all on the edge of their seats.  We had 8 guys over here, all going for the Cardinals.  I was also talking to my friends Marrissa, who lives in Pittsburgh (kinda obvious who she was rooting for) and Lauren.  It was just a great game to watch.  That is all that I really wanted.  It was the second best Super Bowl that I have ever seen, only behind the Titans/Rams.  It would be the Bills/Giants in '91 but I don't remember actually watching it.  Last year's game is a close third.

Anyways, I am now watching Scrubs while laying in bed.  I am a bit drunk right now, but I will be good to go for work tomorrow.

I think it is the alcohol, but I cannot think of anything else worth while to talk about.  So I am going to keep watching Scrubs before going to bed.

Here We Go Again

I really don't know what I am going to say here.  Nothing is exactly on my mind that needs to be talked about, but maybe something will come as I type.

Right now I am just laying on the couch watching Ghost Hunters on Sci-Fi.  It is a pretty interesting show if you haven't ever watched it.  I guess it is safe to say that I do believe in ghosts or spirits or whatever.  Then again I also believe in life on other planets (kind of that 'the universe is too big to only be us' thing).  Throw in the fact that I love reading Stephen King's Dark Tower books, which deals with parallel universes and stuff, and it can get you thinking.  One thing that kind of stands out to me is this:  what if you got to the edge of the universe only to find out that it was just an atom in a cell of something like a blade of grass in another universe.  I know that is highly unlikely, but is there any way to really know for sure?

My arm is really sore right now.  I joined a slow pitch softball team with Joe and Andy (my roommates) along with Justin (my college roommate) and Andy's brother and some of his friends.  We were just meeting to try and shake the rust off since the season starts here in a couple of weeks and to try and determine where everybody will be playing.  As of now it looks like I will be at third base if you happen to care.  It had been a really long time since I had thrown a baseball/softball so I expect my arm to be sore here for a few days.

I wonder if there are any guys who have read an enjoyed the Twilight books.  A couple of friends of mine (female of course) are trying to get me to read them.  I expect that I would probably enjoy them, but I am not always big on the love stories and such.

On a side note, McDonalds is brilliant for doing their 50 piece McNuggets for 10 dollars during Super Bowl weekend.  I swear my roommates and I have already bought 3 of those things since yesterday evening.  That is 3 total, not each.

I spent about half an hour earlier searching for and saving wallpaper images for all 32 NFL teams.  My Macbook has a feature that rotates images contained in a folder, so I think it is pretty cool that I will have all of them rotating on my computer and changing every five minutes (it just went from the 49ers to the Broncos).  Now if I can only find one of the Houston Oilers then I will be all set.  I love me some Houston Oilers.  I wish the Texans would have been able to buy the name back from the Titans.

I guess that is it for now.  Check back later.  There may be some drunken ramblings after the Super Bowl, but I cannot promise.

Everything Old Is New Again

Well here I am again.  I used to have a Xanga account that I wrote in religiously back in college.  Then I got a bit tired of it.  I then started writing MySpace blogs, but I don't know if it was that I got tired of it or that I became too busy to write blog entries.  Maybe it was a little bit of both.  Either way, I do feel like I need to get stuff off my mind a lot of times, so I have decided to start on here, and hopefully it will last.

Everybody who knows me will not need to read this paragraph, but if you do not know me and want to know a bit more about me, then here you go.  I am 23 years old and was born and raised in Bryan, TX.  I went to Texas Lutheran and graduated in May 2007 with a degree in Computer Science.  I then moved back to College Station and currently work as a programmer down here.  I currently live with two guys that I have known for a long time (one since I was 14, one since I was 5).  I do enjoy writing, and would like to one day write a book about the great experiences that I had back in high school playing six man football.  I guess the hardest part is finding a way to begin.

With that said, I am really excited about the Super Bowl tomorrow.  I am not sure how good of a game it will be.  I also do not have a rooting interest.  I do, however, always go for the underdog whenever the Texans are not involved (or I guess when I do not have a lot of fantasy football players on a specific team).  I really just want to have a great game, like everybody else I think, but I hope the Cardinals are able to pull it out.  I am not like a lot of my friends who are going for the Cardinals just because if the Steelers win then they will have more Super Bowl titles than the Cowboys.  I also know quite a few people who are die hard Steelers fans, and I have nothing against them.  I am simply going for the Cardinals because it has been so long since they have done anything relevant.  Kind of like the Cubs of the NFL, only they are not nearly as arrogant or whiny.

I guess that is all for now.  Hopefully I will continue to update this.  Maybe I will later today, if I feel the need and I am not too busy.
